Gujarat Taxi Driver Unmasks Serial Killer

A Gujarat taxi driver’s relentless quest for justice has exposed an alleged serial killer and saved a businessman from becoming his next victim. Jigar Gohil, 24, unearthed chilling truths about Navalsinh Chavda, a man living multiple lives as a witchdoctor, YouTuber, and Ponzi scam operator, after suspecting foul play in his brother’s death.

Gohil’s journey began in 2021 when his brother, Vivek, was found dead in Kamod village. Initially dismissed as a road accident by Aslali police, Jigar refused to accept the conclusion. Driven by grief and suspicion, he spent three years meticulously piecing together evidence. His determination bore fruit when he uncovered that Vivek had been in contact with Chavda shortly before his death.

Chavda, who presented himself as a mystical healer, had allegedly used his schemes to lure unsuspecting victims into deadly traps. Police believe he is responsible for at least five murders, including Vivek’s. His most recent target was Abhijeet Rajput, a businessman from Sanand, whom Chavda had drawn into a fake "money-multiplying" ritual. Chavda planned to poison Rajput during the ceremony, according to Inspector R.K. Dhulia of Sarkhej police.

To gather evidence, Jigar ingeniously infiltrated Chavda’s life by taking up a job as his night-shift taxi driver. Winning Chavda’s trust, Jigar uncovered critical details, including the killer’s plan to mix poison stored in a car's spare tyre with liquor to execute his latest crime. On December 1, armed with this information, Jigar rushed to Sarkhej police station, warning authorities of the imminent danger.

Acting swiftly, police arrested Chavda on December 2, thwarting his plan and saving Rajput’s life. Further investigations revealed Chavda’s involvement in the deaths of three members of a family in 2023 and another individual in Nikol.

Inspector Dhulia lauded Jigar’s courage and strategic brilliance, stating, "His determination not only brought a criminal to justice but also saved an innocent life."
