NTR Jrs Devara Sees Rs 90 Lakh Surge in USA Premiere Sales After Trailer Launch

On Tuesday evening, NTR Jr, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor unveiled the trailer for their highly anticipated film Devara, and it quickly took the internet by storm. The Telugu version garnered over 9 million views, while the Hindi version attracted more than 3 million. The immediate effect of the trailer was evident in the advance ticket sales for the film in the United States, which is the largest market for Telugu films outside India.

By Tuesday morning, Devara had already sold $850,000 (approximately Rs 7.13 crore) in advance tickets for its premiere in the USA. By Wednesday morning, that figure had surged to $960,000 (around Rs 8.05 crore), marking an increase of Rs 92 lakh. Along with this rise in revenue, the number of shows has also expanded from 982 to 1,121. The total advance sales for the film have surpassed $1 million, making it the first film to achieve this milestone with 16 days remaining until its release. With several major cinema chains set to open in the coming days, it's expected that premiere day sales could reach between $1.5 million and $2 million. It will be fascinating to see if the film can surpass the box office numbers of NTR Jr’s previous release, RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli.

The film marks the Telugu debut of Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. On Saif’s birthday, August 16th, the makers revealed his first look as Bhaira. The entire film team filmed a special episode for Kapil Sharma’s show on Monday.

Devara was initially planned as a single film, but a couple of months ago, the creators decided to divide it into two parts. In the first part, Saif takes on the role of the villain, while Bobby Deol will join him in the second part. Recently, the makers also released a new song titled Devudi, featuring Janhvi dancing alongside NTR Jr. The song has quickly gained popularity on social media, with choreographer Shekar Master also joining in on the excitement.
