Rakesh Roshan, celebrated for his iconic films like Karan Arjun, Koyla, Koi... Mil Gaya, and the Krrish series, has officially announced that he will not direct the much-anticipated Krrish 4. Speaking in an exclusive interview with The Times of India (TOI), the veteran filmmaker shared his thoughts on this major decision and reflected on his creative bond with his son, Hrithik Roshan.

The producer-director, who redefined Indian cinema with his storytelling and unique vision, revealed that while he will not be directing the fourth installment, his influence will still be integral to the project. “Yes, I’m not directing it. But we will sit on the screenplay. I’m there behind the project. It will be made the way I make it. So, fans shouldn’t be worried,” Roshan assured.

He further addressed fans' concerns about how Hrithik, who has been synonymous with the Krrish franchise, would be presented on screen under a new director. Roshan reflected on their actor-director bond, saying, “He’s my son, so I know him, and he knows me. When he’s not doing something right, I can openly tell him, ‘Duggu, this is not right.’ He can also suggest things to me, like, ‘Papa, if you place the camera this way, I can give a better expression.’ That honesty is rare in other director-actor relationships.”

Highlighting Hrithik’s performances under other directors, Roshan praised his work in Guzaarish, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Fighter, and WAR. He expressed pride in how other filmmakers have also been able to showcase Hrithik’s talent beautifully, adding, “Hrithik adapts well to new creative environments, and I believe Krrish 4 will be no exception.”

Rakesh Roshan also touched upon the unique dynamic of having a family deeply involved in a creative project, calling it a "big boon." He remarked, “There are five pillars in any movie—producer, director, actor, heroine, and music. Four of those we already have within our family.”

As the Krrish franchise evolves, Rakesh Roshan’s vision and Hrithik’s versatility continue to inspire confidence among fans eagerly awaiting the next chapter in the superhero saga.
