Stree 2 Breaks Box Office Records with Shraddha Kapoor
Stree 2 has shattered box office records, surpassing Animal to join the Rs 500 crore club. Starring Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, this horror-comedy elevates Hindi cinema with new characters and thrilling twists, expanding the Maddock Films universe.

Stree 2 has been receiving extraordinary numbers ever since it hit the box office. The movie, produced by Dinoo Vijan & Amar Kaushik’s (Maddock Films), written by Niren Bhatt and directed by Amar Kaushik and Raqh-these record-surpassing artists are Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. It has, now, taken Animal, the Rs 2.7 billion drama which was the last movie of the actor, to the 5th position in Hindi movie history.
Stree 2 managed to secure a worldwide box office collection of Rs 433.05 crore within 14 days of its opening and by the 21st day, another Rs 70.2 crore was added to it. Thursday's collection was predicted at Rs 5.35 crore, thus the sum collected was estimated to be Rs 503.25 crore. The picture makes the Rs 500 club, setting it at par with the Hindi lifetime collection of Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal which was able to accumulate Rs 502.98 crores. In its overall international collection, Animal has retained Rs 553.87 crore with Tamil and Telugu versions contributing a large share, seventh in total in India.
This week had more than just one product in Stree 2's kitty, with the giants of movies, Baahubali 2, their collection in the third week was more than that produced previously. Stree 2 was the one to earn the maximum net in the third week in Hindi with the amount of Rs 70.2 crore from the previous week.
The Stree 2 includes characters such as Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurrana, and Pankaj Tripathi. They are also joined by Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar, and Tamannaah Bhatia in the film. A huge revelation is being discussed spinning off on Shraddha’s character and chronicling the past of Stree. The film forms part of Dinesh Vijan’s Horror-Comedy universe which includes Bhediya and Munjya, in the future, Vampires will also be introduced with a movie that will feature Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar. Similar concepts, different casts, and locations create a different Horror-Comedy universe which has been formed by the series of films set in the same fictional world.
