Urmila Matondkar Divorce from Mohsin Akhtar Mir After 8 Years of Marriage

After eight years of marriage to Mohsin Akhtar Mir, Urmila Matondkar has requested to dissolve the union. According to an ETimes source from a Mumbai court, Urmila initiated divorce proceedings approximately four months prior.

According to Hindustan Times, Urmila and Mohsin are not divorcing each other voluntarily. An unidentified court official stated, "Urmila has decided to dissolve her marriage to Mohsin after giving it some thought. She's already filed for divorce in court. They're not splitting up because they both want to, but we don't know why."

Mohsin, a businessman and model from Kashmir, and Urmila, a famous Bollywood actress, decided to have a small, private wedding attended only by their closest friends and family. Their common friendship, Bollywood designer Manish Malhotra, introduced them to one another. On February 4, 2016, the pair wed in a low-key ceremony.

Despite their ten-year age difference, the couple bonded over similar interests and values. Nonetheless, given that the two were widely thought of as a committed couple, the news of their breakup surprised a lot of people.
